TREATMENT PROGRAMSSanté Center for Healing is situated on a beautiful hilltop in rural Argyle, Texas, approximately 30 miles north of Dallas/Fort Worth. The adults that are treated here suffer from addictive disorders including chemical dependency and process addiction. Our main goal is for our patients to live a life in recovery. They learn to be aware of their issues and gain the skills to resolve them. They will discover how to prevent relapses, and live without the feelings of shame or guilt that often accompany their diagnosis. The Santé staff brings decades of experience in a broad range of clinical disciplines. Through a foundation built on 12-step principles, these dedicated people gradually lead patients to long-lasting recovery. They specialize in working with professionals, people with eating disorders and those addicted to sex and love. Santé Center for Healing provides recovery support solutions for a diverse population of adult men and women who are struggling with addictive behaviors (such as drug and substance abuse, eating disorders, etc.) and are seeking recovery support solutions. The patient population typically includes licensed professionals along with the general population characterized through a diversity of religious, ethnic and sexual orientation. Santé’s treatment programs use a holistic approach that utilizes various therapeutic modalities in both group and individual settings. Each patient undergoes an extensive evaluation by a psychiatrist and general assessment by a licensed counselor certified to conduct evaluations in the state of Texas. ![]() The basic drug abuse and addiction treatment design uses a traditional 12-step recovery program as well as motivational enhancement therapeutic techniques, stress reduction techniques, cognitive behavioral therapies, and spirituality components. For patients with severe trauma and other difficulties, dialectical behavioral therapy and modified assignments are designed to offer the patient a sense of success while they are learning basic recovery skills. Santé is one of the first drug abuse and addiction treatment centers to use cutting edge technology and treatment of chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Treatment components include protocols from neuro-linguistic programming and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR), to assist in calmer resolution, trigger desensitization, reduce chemical dependency, promote smoking cessation and help with chronic pain management. In addition to traditional talk therapy, we also use neuro-feedback training, cranial alpha stimulation and massage therapy, as well as experiential therapies including psychodrama, equine therapy and other alternative therapies (as indicated by the individual’s needs). Santé also maintains and frequently utilizes a fully equipped ropes experiential therapy challenge course. What to expect as a patient:
Three Levels of CareOutpatientThe Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a total of 24 weeks split into 4 phases. Within each phase, specific treatment goals and objectives are met to help the patient move forward in their recovery. It includes group, individual, family, and couples therapy. What makes our program unique is that our therapeutic approach focuses not only on the individual struggling with addiction and mental health issues, but also on treating the family and loved ones of the patient. Our therapies are centered on emotional, cognitive-behavioral and 12-step approaches with attention towards processing the patient's history with trauma and other life events. ResidentialResidential Treatment is appropriate for a variety of reasons and a variety of patients. Typically our residential program involves a longer length of stay, anywhere from two to 12 months. Most treatment programs are anywhere from 14 to 30 days. Residential Care can be accessed directly or at the conclusion of an inpatient treatment experience and may or may not include a detox component. Treatment in residential programs is intense and there is a greater reliance on the use of the patients peer group as an intrinsic component in the therapeutic process. Reasons for considering residential treatment are:
This is not an exhaustive list by any means, but hopefully conveys when residential is the treatment of choice in the continuum of care. Transitional LivingIn the continuum of care, Transitional Living (TL) is usually utilized following a period of residential treatment. This period is an opportunity for the client to put in practice recovery skills in the “real world” while continuing to return daily to a safe, sober living environment. In Transitional Living the client will be expected to work, go to school (or job training), do community service or volunteer work. During this timeframe, we are looking for the client to shift their focus and dependence on a treatment center to community resources, with more autonomy in managing their support system of 12-step meetings, and usually some type of therapy (this of course could cover a broad range of services depending on individual needs.) The patient at this level is also developing an increased proficiency in adult daily living skills and financial independence. TL’s length of stay tends to be more open ended and depends on sufficient acquisition of the above mentioned skills. |
